Self-service Payment Kiosk for Invoices in a Cellular Services Provider Shop

Elisa Eesti tried to find solution to staff’s occupancy problem as during certain periods very many clients visited the shop to pay invoices and the staff was really busy. Besides, Elisa wanted to provide the opportunity for the clients to load talktime to prepaid cards.
In 2015, the project of self-service payment solution was launched, during which a kiosk with unique design was created, taking into consideration the payment technique, client wishes and Elisa corporative colours and style. The outcome was a kiosk where client can pay invoices and load talktime to prepaid card using card or cash payment. The device accepts bills and coins, all transactions are made in real time and information immediately reaches Elisa billing system.
Elisa Eesti area manager Erik Sher comments:"Installing payment machine in Elisa shop has simplified clients as well as Elisa’s employees’ life. After sending out invoices, we had crowds of people in our shop, having to stand in lines and our staff’s workload also increased. While paying the bill is easy and mechanical act and we wished client could perform it in dependently. The self-service payment kiosk enabled this opportunity. We are satisfied with the current results, as in April 2016 most of the clients paid their invoices through kiosk. Now the clients’ waiting time is shorter and Elisa sales personnel have more time to sell devices or resolve problems. As the project has been successful, we plan to start using the payment kiosks in more Elisa shops.“
