Elevating the patient experience with Nordclinic

Nordclinic is a dermatology, dental and plastic surgery clinic that is well-known both in Lithuania and abroad thanks to their experienced team of professionals and constant drive to innovate. As the clinic receives patients from all over the world having a pleasant and welcoming environment is key, both before, during and after the surgeries.
Solutions that match our customer needs
Nordclinic approached us with the following needs. One, to facilitate the communication between staff members and patients, and two, the presentation and management of Netflix content in patients’ wards.
Taking their needs into account, we have designed and implemented two combined solutions.
First, the centralized screen management system allows staff to change settings, update software, send personalized messages without physically going to the ward.
Second, with Netflix functionalities, patients are now able to log in to their Netflix accounts with ease.
Finally, employees can communicate with each other quickly with the implemented DECT communication solution.
Now onto more specifics.
Centralized screen content management system
The wards of the new Nordclinic clinic in Kaunas are equipped with 32 Philips 4k resolutions - screens ranging in size from 32" to 43" inches, and in the recreation area - a 98” screen. The screens are distinguishable by a silver-colored body and are widely used and recognized as suitable in medical environments.
The screens installed in the clinic are controlled through a unified content management system. The system administrator can centrally send a personalized message or manage the displayed content on the screens in the wards.
Also, they can perform system updates from their workstations and monitor whether the screens are working properly as well as change any settings.
Personalized entertainment for patients
It is customary for patients to want to spend their time before and after surgeries watching Netflix, a movie and series streaming service. To make it as hassle-free for patients as possible, Philips' built-in screens have the ability to generate a unique QR code that allows the patient to easily log in to their Netflix accounts.
The smartphone becomes a personalized display control panel, and this solution, reduces the travel of hand-borne bacteria and viruses.
In addition, each ward has wireless headphones that can be connected to a screen, so in double wards, patients can enjoy their entertainment in peace.
DECT communication solutions
The Nordclinic in Kaunas covers an area of 1500 sq.m. To implement the DECT communication solutions, we used 3 communication bases with 10 sets of headphones. DECT communication solutions are recognized worldwide as an effective way to communicate and are very easy to use.
The VoCoVo voice communication solution ensures fast and clear dissemination of information among team members. It provides the ability to communicate in real time no matter where the colleagues are.
