Access Control

The most common biometric access systems use fingerprints, but these systems can also use iris and retinal scans, hand geometry and facial recognition technology. Biometric technology represents a significant security advancement because it physically proves an individual's identity. Depending on the device it can be used to register various characteristics such as arrival to work or safely open the doors. Unlike the classic card system it is not possible to maliciously use a biometric system.
